I am a product advocate and former UI developer with a unique eye for editing, experience writing HTML5, CSS (Sass compiled), building in Drupal and Wordpress, and the skills needed to make great design. I specialize in ensuring design meets the needs of the end user and the user experience is the best it can be from all directions.
As an accessibility subject matter expert, I care about detail and considering the end user in all aspects of my work. I apply logic and careful consideration to design and excel at asking the hard questions to improve user experience. My goal is to always present the best possible product for every aspect of use.
I think 1996 was the peak of music in my lifetime, dogs are the best, and I make a killer batch of cookies. I read a lot, have way more plants than I probably should, and will argue The West Wing is the best tv show created.
At Jacobs, I owned the web products from start to finish, ushering it from ideation through discovery, design & development, and launch. As part of owning these products I expanded stakeholder participation over five fold through training and enablement. I expanded my reach from two products out to assiting in creating standardizations for web products, participating in brand protection, and consulting as an accessiblilty subject matter expert.
For these sites I drove not just the direction of the front-end development, but also the setup of the Drupal databse for client side use. I drew on my extensive UX knowledge for both.
For these sites I was lead front-end developer working hand in hand with team designer to fit new features into client brand, developed theme template, developed and designed custom features, and handled Drupal side build ensuring ease of use for client and marketing.
